CKPG Television, a division of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group, is now accepting applications for the position of Switcher (part-time) in their Master Control operations.
Duties will include:
Monitoring the delivery of three television signals
Quality control of video/audio, commercial insertions, closed captioning and cable substitutions
Building and properly maintaining playlists for playback of commercials, programs and other elements
Website uploading and updating
Providing assistance on live and recorded productions as a camera operator, audio board operator, computer graphics operator, and other related tasks
This is a demanding job requiring strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent written and verbal communication. The successful applicant will be willing to learn, have a positive attitude and be able to work in an unsupervised capacity or in a team setting. This position demands flexibility, as shifts range from early morning to late night, and most definitely Statutory Holidays. Knowledge of master control settings and digital video editing would be an asset.
